2 of 4 volumes of L’Iliade d’Homere translated in French with remarks by Madame Dacier. New edition corrected and augmented with reflections on the preface by M. Pope. Bound in leather with gold-gilt floral stamps, decorations and lettering in-between 5 bands, with red and green leather spine labels. Beautiful, marbled endpapers, and red-coloured edges. With decorated initials as well as head and tail pieces.
CONDITION: Good Condition. Corners bumped, volume 2 with back bottom edge folded. Edge, spine, and shelf wear. Foxing and minor staining, including some damp stains. Some loss of leather on front and back boards (see pictures).
