First published in 1932 by Scribner in New York, this is the 1st and only UK edition published in 1953 by Grey Walls Press. Bound in publisher's red cloth, titles stamped in black on the spine. A good copy, still tightly bound, with only remnants of the original dust jacket.
CONDITION:
Book in good to very condition. Dust jacket in poor condition, with only half the spine, front inner flap (detached) and back cover present. Remnants of dust jacket with rips, tears, discolouration and creases. Inscription to front free endpaper, dated 1956. Brown spot beginning on page 264 continues becoming darker and more pronounced to back free endpaper, backboard and dust jacket flap. Browning/discolouration of front and back free endpaper at margin likely due to dustjacket front-flap being stored at front or back of the book. Several pages dog eared.
