Five books, bound in two volumes, in-8, 21cm; half-title; decorated title page with border; head and tail-pieces; and sone kind of engraving; engraved frontispiece in each volume, with engraved full page plates, over 100 wood-cut illustrations and diagrams, including two fold-outs; marbled fore-edge, blue marbled endpapers, full calf leather boards with gold gilt embossed decorations, spine divided in six bands, label in red leather with title and author, book numbers on each volume embossed in gold gilt,, soft paper; with visible chain lines
Provenance: stamp of Bibliothèque du Clos des Cyprès; library marker from the magician, Johnny Morgan; as well as a catalogue entry glued to ffep, describing a copy of the Magie Blanche for sale, possibly this one, with a 1966 date in pen.

CONDITION: very good condition; some slight warping of paper; bound in contemporary calf-leather boards, hinges of both volumes rubbed with some visible splitting, boards secure but loose, vol 2 more loose though still attached, vol 1 with cracked gutter, spine decorations with wear, chips, and fading, bumped corners; small repairs at top edge of p.93 and also of half title of the second volume.
