DESCRIPTION:
This Besancon Tarot design was originally published by J. Jerger in 1801 and subsequently by Renault in 1845, with Juno and Jupiter replacing Le Pape and La Papesse. Blanche took up publishing this tarot in 1875 before Kirchner took over in 1878.

· Borders: single black-line
· Versos/Backs: marble green pastel

CONDITION: Good condition; complete 78/78 cards; with signs of age darkening & wear from use, bumped corners & rubbed edges; some surface scuffing and scuffing of reverses; occasional minor stains and patina; musty odour. (see photographs)
