Description: c.1900 Schaffhouse tarot deck with Pape and Papesse by J. Müller, complete with 78/78 cards. The deck is in the same style as the deck later popularised by US Games as "1JJ Swiss" Besançon.

· Cards: Two of Coins with Fabrique de Cartes a Schaffhouse. Initials ""I.M." are on the shield at the centre of the 4 of Coins."Fabrique Des Cartes A Schaffhouse" on the 2 of Coins. The 2 of Cups and the 4th Atout are lettered "Fabrique des Cartes." The initials "JP" are found at the lower left of the knave of swords.
Good condition, complete 78 of 78 cards, with signs of use and damage, including clipped corners, small rips, marginal tears (some repaired), and stains; VII of Swords with repair of tear and card redrawn over damage; La Popesse with scribble over face and writing at top and bottom of the card; smudging and wear to surfaces as well as edgewear and worn corners (see photographs).
