This is part of the 1906 unnumbered and unnamed edition by Holby, 2 of 10 vols, 8vo., Vol. III: pp. [v] vii, 283, Vol. IV: pp. [2] 299; with illustrated frontispieces and two additional hors-texte illustrations in each volume, all protected by captioned tissue guards; bound in red cloth with tan paper labels, paper labels and title pages printed in red and black, gilt top-edge, deckle fore and bottom edge.
CONDITION: Good condition; red cloth bindings with some stains and discolouration; with bumped and bent corners, rubbing, and edge wear; papers labels with some fading, creasing and lacks; "Jane Austen,” printed in red on the tan label, is very faded; Volume III (Part I) front hinge partially cracked with a split starting at the top, and with a small split moving up from the bottom.; Volume IV (Part II) with stains, fading, and marks on the front and back boards, pages 247-250, along with the 2nd plate, are detached but still bound together; some marginal tears in both volumes, otherwise good (see photographs).
