DESCRIPTION:

A minimalistic tarot published in 1981 for an exhibition entitled 'Antique Playing Cards: A Collector's Dream,' Louttre B is the pseudonym of Marc-Antoine Bissière (1926-2012). No people are depicted on the cards; instead, the artist uses key symbolic objects from the Marseilles Tarot. Some of the major arcana cards are oddly numbered; for example, the Emperor and the Lovers cards are both numbered 'VI.'
