Paris: 1814. 1st Edition, 8to, pp. ix, 596 (p.596 printed as 196, misnumbering begins at 194): Frontispiece; 22 cm, missing half-title with author statement of legitimacy on verso, and where is sometimes found Lenormand's signature of authentication, it is replaced with hand-written title page; frontispiece engraving of Mlle Lenormand and original title-page intact.
The notations and corrections made throughout the book reveal the intensity of a previous owner's study. This history of use is worthy of study in and of itself.
