8mo. Hard Cover. Very Good Condition. Half-calf with marbled boards. Beautifully bound copies of Thomas Babington Macaulay’s “History of England” volumes 4 and 5. Books feature very interesting green, blue and gold marbling patterns on the bindings and endpapers. Spines are a soft brown leather with gold-gilt decoration, bands, and lettering. Volume IV with front engraved portrait of Loius XIV, volume 5 with front portrait of Queen Anne. Both volumes illustrated with engravings throughout. Undated but likely late 19th century.

CONDITION: Overall, in very good condition. Some scuffing on spine and bindings. Bindings are tight and secure. All pages intact. Some fading of the marbling but bright colors shine through.
