Description:  19th century Samuel Hart & Co. American civil-war era playing cards. Incomplete deck with 49/52 cards. Missing the 8 of spades, 7 of clubs, 9 of hearts, diamonds complete. Complete set of court cards in all suits.

· Borders: single blue line, pips w/o borders

· Reverses: blue and white with dots and starbursts

· Pips: Two-way

· Indices: No indices

· Style: Standing courts and English suit markers


CONDITION:

Average to good condition; incomplete (49 of 52 cards); some minor signs of wear and stains; slight soiling from use; age-darkening of Ace of Hearts; several cards with edge and corner damage (2 and 9 of clubs, 9 of spades, 6 of hearts, and 7 of diamonds); see photographs.
