Deck: Grand Etteilla Tarot Egyptien Type I

Description: After the occultist Etteilla's designs, this Grand Etteilla by Grimaud is considered a Type I style. Etteilla was the pseudonym of Jean-Baptiste Alliette. His designs are considered to be one of the first tarots created specifically for cartomancy.

This later edition Grimaud was produced with a paper wrapper and booklet. (here missing). A previous owner glued portions of the wrapper to a white box decorated with blue and red pen designs and with a signature (?) on one side. The versos have a vintage brown design of warped diamonds and dots on white.
